Savory Bread Pudding with Tuna

Ramadan Mubarak! After two months hiatus in food blogging, I finally able to make time to cook and write about Ramadan cuisine. Ramadan itself is the holy month for the muslims; we abstain from eating from dawn until sunset thus we could pay more attention to Quran recital and daily night prayers.

The eating before the fasting begin (suhoor) then must be nutritious, and easy to be made. So savory bread pudding, it is!

For years bread pudding are relied upon as the easiest and simplest comfort food. Although on the first place it was stated as the food for poor man for the using of (sometimes) stolen and stale bread, now the cuisines those have similarity with bread pudding are spread around the globe due to the flexibility to develop the recipe; any kind of bread; any stuffing, you can go with it.

And I should also mention its simplicity! For this recipe I only spent about 20 minutes for preparation then I could use the 20 minutes baking time for me to pray :)  This recipe contains carbs, protein, and fat; the perfect amount of energy you need for a day fasting.
